CONGREGATIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITY PROCESS:
Inspiring and equipping churches to collaborate for greater community impact
The Good Community Network has received funding from Lilly Endowment through their Thriving Congregations Initiative to engage six unique city & county networks across Ohio with a congregational learning community process between the years 2024-2028. Please see a summary below:
Year 1: A 12-month learning journey about church thriving for collaborative impact;
Year 2: Discovering current work and networks, discerning gaps and how to fill them;
Year 3: Engaging in multi-congregational, measurable thriving & community flourishing.
The learning year format will be a cohort from that community going through the 12 sessions outlined on the following page. The recommendation is for these to be monthly sessions in person. Each cohort will have active engagement (participation in at least 75% of sessions) from leadership of at least 5 local churches, as well as at least a few key nonprofit, community and business leaders, with the total number of participants numbering between 10-20.
Please see summary documents for more information. Networks/organizations interested in participating in the Congregational Learning Community Process must complete an application by August 31st. We look forward to growing with you!
The Good Community cohorts are made possible through the partnership of the Sagamore Institute, Declare and funding from Lilly Endowment and the Fetzer Institute.
